We have BP2 inside Mombasa port, the second and third one are located within a 5 km radius of Mombasa port and these are; Mitchell Cotts Freight (K) Limited CFS that is located in the Shimanzi area and Mitchell Cotts ICD that is located in Kibarani along the Makupa causeway.<\/p><\/header><div class=\"btClear btSeparator bottomSemiSpaced noBorder\" ><hr><\/div><div class=\"btBtn btBtn btnFilled operate <strong data-start=\"181\" data-end=\"250\">four gazetted and fully licensed Container Freight Stations (CFS)<\/strong>, strategically positioned to serve diverse client needs:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"311\" data-end=\"1194\">\n<li data-start=\"311\" data-end=\"408\">\n<p data-start=\"313\" data-end=\"408\"><strong data-start=\"313\" data-end=\"324\">BP2 CFS<\/strong> \u2013 Located inside Mombasa Port, adjacent to conventional cargo berths no. 3 and 4.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"409\" data-end=\"623\">\n<p data-start=\"411\" data-end=\"623\"><strong data-start=\"411\" data-end=\"453\">Mitchell Cotts Freight (K) Limited CFS<\/strong> \u2013 Situated in Shimanzi, within 5 km of Mombasa Port, with a capacity of 353 TEUs (ground slots), 1,412 TEUs (static capacity), and an annual throughput of 50,832 TEUs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"624\" data-end=\"803\">\n<p data-start=\"626\" data-end=\"803\"><strong data-start=\"626\" data-end=\"648\">Mitchell Cotts ICD<\/strong> \u2013 Located in Kibarani along the Makupa causeway, with 1,280 TEUs (ground slots), 5,120 TEUs (static capacity), and an annual throughput of 184,320 TEUs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"804\" data-end=\"1194\">\n<p data-start=\"806\" data-end=\"1194\"><strong data-start=\"806\" data-end=\"827\">Nairobi CFS (LC2)<\/strong> \u2013 Our newly licensed facility, strategically positioned near the Inland Container Depot Embakasi (ICDE), directly opposite the SGR Terminal, and just 4 km from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. With 1,500 TEUs (ground slots), 2,000 TEUs (static capacity), and 3,000 TEUs (annual throughput), it is designed to support the growing demand for Nairobi-bound cargo.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1196\" data-end=\"1536\">Across these facilities, we handle <strong data-start=\"1231\" data-end=\"1326\">Full Container Loads (FCL), Less than Container Loads (LCL), RORO units, and packaged cargo<\/strong> efficiently transferred from Kilindini Seaport to our CFS. Containers cleared at the Kenya Ports Authority Container Terminal are swiftly moved to our CFS just 500 meters from Gate B for seamless processing.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1538\" data-end=\"1768\">With our new Nairobi CFS, importers can now enjoy enhanced convenience as <strong data-start=\"1612\" data-end=\"1733\">containers arriving via the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) are positioned directly for clearance and last-mile delivery<\/strong>, saving time and reducing costs.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"btClear btSeparator topSmallSpaced noBorder\" ><hr><\/div><header class=\"header btClear small  btAccentDash btRegularTitle\" ><div class=\"dash\"><h4><span class=\"headline\">How we do it:<\/span><\/h4><\/div><\/header><div class=\"btClear btSeparator topSmallSpaced noBorder\" ><hr><\/div><header class=\"header btClear small  btAccentDash btRegularTitle\" ><div class=\"dash\"><h4><span class=\"headline\">When Goods have not been shipped<\/span><\/h4><\/div><\/header><div class=\"btText\"><p data-start=\"143\" data-end=\"339\">The importer (consignee), under the contract of sale, should instruct the shipper (supplier) to insert the following remark on their shipping instructions:<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"341\" data-end=\"434\"><strong data-start=\"341\" data-end=\"363\">Final destination:<\/strong> Shimanzi (MIT), ICD Kibarani (MCF), BP2 (MT2), or Nairobi (LC2).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"436\" data-end=\"692\">When the shipper hands over the cargo to the shipping line, the shipping agent at the port of loading will request confirmation of the Bill of Lading (B\/L) details before printing the final B\/L. These details are then used to prepare the ship\u2019s manifest.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"694\" data-end=\"794\">At this stage, the shipper must ensure that the destination instructions are indicated as follows:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"796\" data-end=\"969\">\n<li data-start=\"796\" data-end=\"843\">\n<p data-start=\"798\" data-end=\"843\"><strong data-start=\"798\" data-end=\"818\">Port of Loading:<\/strong> Antwerp, Hamburg, etc.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"844\" data-end=\"878\">\n<p data-start=\"846\" data-end=\"878\"><strong data-start=\"846\" data-end=\"868\">Port of Discharge:<\/strong> Mombasa<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"879\" data-end=\"969\">\n<p data-start=\"881\" data-end=\"969\"><strong data-start=\"881\" data-end=\"903\">Final Destination:<\/strong> Mitchell Cotts C.F.S. (Shimanzi, Kibarani, BP2, or Nairobi LC2)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"971\" data-end=\"1178\">With these details in place, the ship\u2019s manifest will clearly distinguish containers or cargoes destined for onward carriage to inland stations such as <strong data-start=\"1123\" data-end=\"1175\">ICDE Nairobi or Mitchell Cotts Nairobi CFS (LC2)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1180\" data-end=\"1503\">The manifest, lodged with the Kenya Ports Authority Operations Department, is the official document used to plan vessel discharge. As a result, <strong data-start=\"1324\" data-end=\"1408\">all containers nominated to Mitchell Cotts C.F.S facilities (Mombasa or Nairobi)<\/strong> will be offloaded directly from the vessel and transported seamlessly to the designated CFS.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"btClear btSeparator topSmallSpaced noBorder\" ><hr><\/div><header class=\"header btClear small  btAccentDash btRegularTitle\" ><div class=\"dash\"><h4><span class=\"headline\">When the carrier Vessel has already left the Load Port<\/span><\/h4><\/div><\/header><div class=\"btText\"><p data-start=\"176\" data-end=\"527\">If the goods have already been shipped and the <strong data-start=\"223\" data-end=\"244\">Final Destination<\/strong> was not specified on the Bill of Lading, the importer (consignee) can still request an amendment. This is done by instructing the <strong data-start=\"375\" data-end=\"399\">local shipping agent<\/strong> of the carrier vessel, in writing, to amend the ship\u2019s manifest <strong data-start=\"464\" data-end=\"525\">before it is lodged with the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"529\" data-end=\"725\">The written instructions should also be <strong data-start=\"569\" data-end=\"605\">copied to Mitchell Cotts Freight<\/strong>, enabling our team to follow up and ensure that the amendment is correctly reflected in the manifest lodged with KPA.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"727\" data-end=\"1031\">\u26a0\ufe0f <strong data-start=\"730\" data-end=\"744\">Important:<\/strong> These instructions must reach the local shipping agent <strong data-start=\"800\" data-end=\"829\">before the vessel arrives<\/strong>.
