About Ian Marshall<\/span><\/h3><\/div><\/header>

Ian Marshall is the General Manager of the Transport Division at Mitchell Cotts Group with over 28 years of experience in the logistics industry, specifically in handling out-of-gauge transport, heavy lift, offloading, and positioning solutions in Eastern Africa. <\/span><\/p>\n

He began his career as a Mechanical Technician and received training with Mercedes Benz. His impressive and relevant achievements include successfully removing 2 x 98 to Wartsila engines from aircraft at JKIA Nairobi and transporting and offloading them into IBERAFRICA Power Station Nairobi during the year 2000 power shortages in Kenya. In 2013, he received 10 x 88 ton Rolls Royce engines & 2 x 70 ton transformers from the port of Mombasa, transporting via Kisumu ferry to Mwanza Tanzania offloading & positioning into the power station for Semco Maritime. In 2014, he successfully handled the Ol Karia I & IV Geothermal Project for Kengen, transporting 4 x 141 generators and 4 x 100 ton transformers offloading and positioning the generators at 9.5m above ground level into the power house for Hyundai Engineering Company Korea.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Ian\u2019s goals and aspirations for the company are for it to be the preferred heavy logistics provider in Eastern Africa. With his wealth of experience and expertise, he is well-positioned to lead the company towards achieving this goal.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>
