About Shameel A.H Chandbhai

Shameel A.H Chandbhai is the Fleet Operations Manager at Mitchell Cotts Group. With over 19 years of experience in the transport industry, he has climbed up the ladder with a technical-minded approach.

His professional background includes a National Diploma/Higher National Diploma in Automotive Engineering, and a Diploma in Transport and Logistics from the Technical University of Mombasa. Additionally, he has acquired various certificates in fleet management and occupational safety and health management from PIEA, Total Kenya, and KTA.

Shameel’s training includes annual occupational safety and health training from 2007-2022 and fleet management training from Total/PIEA between 2007-2016.

His impressive relevant achievements include the recent delivery of two heavy haulage machines weighing approximately 90 tonnes with a transport height of 6 metres from Mombasa port to Uganda. He has also delivered 8 baobab trees with a height of 10 metres, a width of 8 metres, and a weight of 200 tonnes within Kilifi County, including loading and offloading from the trailer. Additionally, he has safely delivered OOG brewery tanks with a transport height of 5.8 metres and width of 5.5 metres from the Port of Mombasa to various destinations within Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, and the DRC. Moreover, Shameel has safely offloaded and positioned six 60-tonne transformers at Konza, two 50-tonne transformers at Lango Baya, and delivered three 80-tonne evaporators to Menengai Crater Power Plant. Notably, he has maintained a zero-accident record and safely delivered all types of cargo to clients.

Shameel’s goals and aspirations for Mitchell Cotts Group include making it a preferred and leading transport/logistics company in East/Central Africa in project/heavy haulage cargo and being the best transport/logistics partner by offering the best tailor-made solutions for door-to-door delivery in East/Central Africa to all clientele.
